Veterinarian
Dr. Stumpel pursued veterinary medicine following a lifelong love for animals and appreciation of the emotional connection humans and animals share. She was born and raised in the suburbs of New York. She attended St. George’s Veterinary School and completed her clinic rotation at Texas A&M University. Shortly after graduating she met her now husband, a native Texan, and made Texas into her permanent home. She is thrilled to trade the harsh winters of the Northeast for summer heat and Whataburger!
Dr. Stumpel loves to give her patients treats and provide a positive experience during their visit. She strives to provide a stress free experience for both patients and pet parents. Dr. Stumpel is a self proclaimed crazy cat lady, and she is an AAFP Feline Friendly certified practitioner. This means she has special education in feline stress free medicine. She has worked in both general practice and emergency veterinary medicine since graduation. She is a skilled practitioner in both medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Stumpel is passionate about preventative care, and strives to educate and work with pet parents to provide gold standard care to all her patients.
Dr. Stumpel and her husband share a home with their two rescue pups, Ivy and Mueller, and cat Oliver. In her free time Dr. Stumpel enjoys exploring nature with her family, crafting, and reading.
